Information on Visa for Italy can be found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

Please note that for visits resulting from invitation by an Italian institution to participate in a special event (visa for “Invitation”), applicants are asked to contact the Italian Diplomatic/Consular Representations for specific information concerning the required documents and conditions.

We will set no deadline for requests, but conference participants should familiarize themselves with visa requirements well in advance of the conference. The WOLTE-14 organizers encourage you to apply for visa as early as possible, so that the visa can be issued on time.

If you need a personal letter of invitation to attend the Conference, please contact the conference secretariat and provide the following information:

• Full Name
• Complete mailing address
• Phone and fax number
• Copy of the Passport (containing number, expiration date, place and date of issue, authority issuing)
• Date of birth
• Gender

Your letter will be sent to you, by e-mail or by mail, so request it well in advance of when you expect to need it.

The conference organizers cannot intervene with Italian Embassies abroad or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on behalf of any participant.
