ESAS SCHOOL: Superconductivity for Quantum Technologies
ESAS SCHOOL: Superconductivity for Quantum Technologies will take place in Matera, Italy on 13-16 June 2022.
The ESAS school aims at providing the attendees with the main concepts and methodologies for design, study and applications of superconducting electronics and devices for quantum technologies.
For this edition the key words to have in mind are quantum sensing, quantum detection and quantum computation.
The school is mostly addressed to undergraduate students in engineering, physics and STEM related fields, but Ph.D. students and post-doc are highly welcomed.
By the end of the school, to be held in a hybrid format, the attendees will have acquired knowledge about relevant techniques, methods and characterization of superconducting devices, and will have an overview of their real-world applications.
The goal of the school is, in fact, to give the attendees the chance to capture what are the research opportunities in both industry and academia. For this reason, participants will meet exponents from superconducting electronics companies and experts in superconducting quantum technologies.
The school fully embraces the recent area of interest of the WOLTE community, and will be an intensive and inspiring experience, where young researchers, as well as scientists, engineers and all those interested in, can familiarize themselves with novel techniques and networking opportunity in the field of low-temperature quantum technologies.
The ESAS school and the WOLTE conference are indeed meant to enforce the cooperation between all the researchers in the superconductivity field, from the more experts to the early-career researchers.

Registration
We encourage you to become an IEEE Member and attend ESAS SCHOOL: Superconductivity for Quantum Technologies!
IEEE-CSC provides limited financial support for students who want to attend the school. We provide the possibility for attendees to share their work with a brief oral contributions(5-10 minutes). Presentations are not mandatory but highly welcomed in order to get the IEEE-CSC financial support. Abstracts should be sent to the organizers by e-mail. The applicant must register for an IEEE Student Membership, if not already a member. Interested students should also send a motivation letter written by their supervisor to Dr. Halima Giovanna Ahmad.
